Collaborative Family Law in Peterborough
Collaborative law is a new approach to divorce, designed to achieve agreement between husband and wife on how assets should be divided without the stress and cost of going to Court. It is a relatively new practice to the UK after being introduced from the USA where it has been successfully practised. The process has been welcomed by courts as a sensible alternative to courtroom disputes and in the last two years the process has dramatically spread across the UK.
Peterborough has a large contingent of trained collaborative lawyers who have embraced the ethos of this process and are keen to provide a service that is tailored specifically towards the large majority of couples who have the willingness to reach an agreement through discussion rather than conflict.
The Peterborough Collaborative Law Group are proud to be able to offer this service to clients from the Greater Peterborough, South Lincolnshire and Rutland area and the group is created by solicitors from some of the major firms in the area. To ensure the longevity and success of the process, a network of like minded individuals from other professional sectors has been set up.
